Magical Manifesting

Tip #9 from 33 Ways Not to Screw Up Creative Entrepreneurship
Magical Manifesting

The following is an excerpt from 33 Ways Not to Screw Up Creative Entrepreneurship by Saudia Davis

At the heart of creativity, I believe, is manifesting. I also believe that manifesting comes with magic baked inside it. This magical center is what gives you those flashes of inspiration that often germinate into creativity. From this vantage point, you own a path to a creative future filled with unique and powerful creations.

To get started on your manifestation journey to a creative life, I introduce you to a definition of creativity that I really resonate with and hope you will too, by Conchita Leeflang, Founder of Eye Am Conchita & Inventor of the Lash-App:

“When you get creative, you sleep, eat, dream your next success story. Inventions are made from creative minds who have no limits. We know what we need. We create.”

So by definition alone, I’m willing to take a stand and say that out of all of the business sectors, “Creative” Entrepreneurs are possibly the most imaginative. Therefore due to their superpower called “Creativity,” they have even more of an ability to manifest anything that they can imagine.

There are many books on visualization, manifestation, list-making, vision board directions, meditation, and all of the esoteric practices that help sharpen your creative tools. We all have what we need. It’s just about remembering or tapping into our natural resources.

When I was a child, I once drew a house and colored it. It happened to be at a time when my mom was planning for us to move and was looking for a new house. One day, we drove up to the house with a tree in front on the right side that was very similar to my drawing. Ask her. She will tell you to this day that I drew the house that magically manifested. We moved into this lovely home, which became the home of many memories during high school.

As an adult, I was living in New York and having the hardest time finding a new apartment. I had been looking everywhere in Manhattan. East Side, West Side, Lower East Side… there was nothing. One day, I decided to draw an apartment and list all of the very specific amenities I wanted. I put the drawing away in a book and forgot about it. Just when I was considering leaving New York several weeks later, I got a call from a friend of mine living in Florida.

A friend of hers had an apartment in Harlem that they wanted to rent. I went up to see it and fell in love with the top floor flat with the arched windows and hardwood floors. It faced North with a sun-filled bedroom facing south. I signed a lease and moved in. A couple of months later, I recalled my drawing and went to the book only to find that the apartment was what I drew. It even had the lovely arched hallway entrance into the living room with arched windows. Unbelievable. Yet, believe.

It’s not complicated. It’s been said that it is by feeling the joy of your vision that magic happens. As Chopra said, once you put it into the Universe, let go of the outcome. Arguably, I would say the challenge is detaching from the outcome.

To make your Magical Manifesting List:

  • State what you want, not what you do not want.
  • Be specific
  • Keep it positive
  • Visualize
  • Feel the joy as if it is real
  • Keep it private
  • Draw or cut out of a magazine

Once complete, put your list in a private place. Go about your life, and every now and then, it’s okay to rejoice in the good feeling of what you want. This is faith. Now, as I have evolved just a little bit more, I also add “for my highest good.” It feels really good when your vision comes true. In most cases, it is always granted in a more grand way than you would ever imagine.
